Regulations of the OHANA SURF CAMP in Madeira
Organized by SCM – ASSOCIACAO SURF CLUBE DA MADEIRA
§1
SCM – ASSOCIACAO SURF CLUBE DA MADEIRA, with its registered office
at Urbanizacao da Torrinha, street A, number 12, 9050-236, Ilha Da Madeira,
Portugal (Tax ID: PT510370268, RNAAT 480/2020), is committed to organizing the camp
according to the previously presented offer.
§2.
The following are mandatory conditions for participation in the OHANA Surf Camp:
1. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
2. Contact via email at ohanasurfcamp21@gmail.com to express interest in joining
OHANA Surf Camp.

§3.
To reserve a spot at OHANA Surf Camp, a deposit of 250 EUR must be paid no later than
60 days before the camp starts. The payment can be made via:
1. Revolut

The rest of the payment will be collected after arriving to Maderia, in EUR currency.
§4.
By paying the deposit, the participant agrees to the terms and conditions of the camp
regulations.
§5.
The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the offer in case of unforeseen
circumstances beyond their control that prevent its execution.
§6.
Every participant is insured against accidents during surfing activities.
Participants must arrange their own travel/recreational insurance for the camp duration
or possess a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC/EKUZ).
Details of the health insurance policy for surfing activities will be available from the
organizer.
§7.
Participants should arrive at FNC Airport (Madeira) on the camp’s start date before 8:00 PM.
If arriving earlier or later, participants must inform the organizer and provide personal details.
§8.
Surfing is an extreme sport that involves risks such as human error, unpredictable weather,
strong winds, and other unforeseen natural factors.
Serious injuries or life-threatening accidents cannot be completely ruled out.
The organizer is not responsible for damages caused by force majeure or other risks
mentioned in this section.
§9.
By participating in the camp, the participant agrees to:
1. Being photographed and filmed during the camp.
2. The free, irrevocable, and unlimited use of photos and videos for marketing and
promotional purposes.
3. Publishing photos/videos on various platforms, including: The Ohana Surf Camp
website, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok etc.
§10.
The organizer is not responsible for participants’ personal belongings during the camp.
§11.
No refunds (full or partial) will be given if a participant attends only part of the camp for
reasons beyond the organizer’s control.
§12.
Cancellation Policy:
If a participant cancels more than 60 days before the camp:
• Full refund of the deposit (250 EUR) or any other amount paid.
If a participant cancels less than 60 days before the camp:
• The deposit is non-refundable.
§13.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the camp no later than 60 days
before the start date if fewer than 5 participants register. In this case, participants will receive
a full refund of all payments made.
§14.
If a participant encounters organizational issues, they must inform the organizer
immediately to allow the problem to be resolved during the camp.
§15.
Participants are fully responsible for their own safety and health during the camp. If a
participant misuses equipment or neglects safety rules, they will be fully responsible for any consequences.
